Heat pumps are used to replace geyser elements in domestic households and industrial complexes.
They are more cost efficient and reduce electrical consumption by up to 50%.
They are therefore more “green” as a minimal electricity is used to achieve the same results.
This is calculated using a formula called COP (Co-Efficient of Performance) which effectively means that 1kW of electrical energy is converted by the heat pump into output energy of 4kW on average.
Domestic heat pumps up to 4.7kW attract an ESKOM rebate as of 2013.
As heat pumps draw on the natural energy in the ambient air it functions even on a cloudy day and in addition does not require solar collectors on the roof.
We are fully equipped to undertake to install heat pump systems in domestic and commercial locations. Industrial application would be discussed on an ad hoc basis.
As we are able to discuss heat pumps, we are also in the position to advise on underfloor heating utilizing heat pumps.
